01Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms apply to the use of the 12×7 app and the website 12x7.app. The service is provided by ALC Dynamics, with its registered office at Laarnebaan 109, 9070 Heusden, Belgium, company number BE 1023.184.308.

By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not create an account.

02What 12×7 is

12×7 is a twelve-week lifestyle programme. Every day you track your food, exercise, water, sleep and wellbeing, you gain insight into your progress and you are supported by AI features such as the 12×7 Coach, automatic calorie estimates and recipe suggestions.

The aim is to build more mindful habits, one day at a time. 12×7 is a tool for healthy adults; it is not a medical service and not a treatment.

03No medical advice

Please read this carefully. 12×7 and the 12×7 Coach give general, informative suggestions about nutrition and exercise. This is not medical or dietetic advice and never replaces a doctor, dietitian or other healthcare professional.

The nutrition suggestions of the AI coach are indicative. Estimates of calories and nutritional values may differ from reality. Use them as a guideline, not as clinical truth.

If you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant, or have an eating disorder or a history of one: consult a doctor or dietitian first, before you start the programme. 12×7 is not intended for the treatment of any condition whatsoever and is not suitable if you have an unhealthy relationship with food.

If you feel unwell during the programme or develop symptoms, stop and seek medical help. In an emergency, always call 112.

0418 years or older

12×7 is for adults only. When you register, you confirm that you are 18 years or older. Accounts of persons under 18 are deleted as soon as we become aware of them.

05Your account

You create an account with your email address and a password, or through your Google account. You confirm your email address through a verification email.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secret and for what happens with your account. If you suspect misuse, change your password and contact us through the contact block at the bottom.

The details you enter must be correct. Incorrect details (such as a wrong weight) lead to incorrect estimates and advice.

06Prices and payment

Your first week is free and includes all features. After that you can buy the full twelve-week programme for a one-time amount of €21.99, including 21% VAT.

This purchase is one-time and never renews automatically. No subscription is created.

If you complete the programme, you can choose to continue in infinity mode for €5.99 per month, including VAT. This is a reduced rate as a reward for completing the 84 days. Infinity mode only starts after you have separately and explicitly agreed to it at the end of your programme; it never starts by itself.

Payments are handled by our payment provider Stripe. All prices are shown before you confirm. Price changes never apply to a programme that has already been bought, and are announced to infinity subscribers at least one month in advance.

07Right of withdrawal and our 14-day guarantee

The programme is digital content that is delivered immediately. At purchase you expressly agree that you get access straight away, and you acknowledge that your statutory right of withdrawal lapses as a result, as the law provides for the immediate delivery of digital content.

In return we offer a voluntary refund guarantee. If the programme materially does not fit your situation (the approach, the format or the structure is fundamentally not right for you), we refund the full purchase amount of €21.99. The following conditions apply:

• Your request must reach us within 14 calendar days of purchase, through the contact block at the bottom, with a short explanation of the mismatch.
• The guarantee covers a genuine mismatch, not a cooling-off period. It does not apply to reasons you could already establish during the free first week (in which all features are fully available), not because you have not had time for it yet, and not because you are not seeing results yet: behaviour change and weight loss cannot, by definition, be judged within 14 days.
• The guarantee applies once per person. After a refund your access to the programme ends; for any new purchase the guarantee does not apply again.
• We assess every request reasonably and in good faith, but we reserve the right to refuse a refund in the event of evident abuse of the guarantee.
• Refunds are made through the same means of payment as the purchase, within 14 days of approval.

This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights. For infinity mode, the statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days after the start applies; because the subscription can be cancelled monthly, you are moreover never tied to it for longer than one month.

08Cancelling

Cancelling is as easy as signing up. You cancel infinity mode in the app (through your account settings) or with a message through the contact block at the bottom. There is no notice period: the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month, and after that nothing more is charged.

The one-time programme does not need to be cancelled; it stops by itself after twelve weeks.

09Refunds

Within 14 days of purchasing the programme: a full refund for a well-founded request (see the 14-day guarantee above). After that the purchase amount is non-refundable, except where the law provides otherwise.

For infinity mode there is no (partial) refund of the current month, except where the law provides otherwise. Refunds are made through the same payment method as the purchase.

10Permitted use

You use 12×7 only for yourself and in a normal, lawful manner. It is not permitted to:

• use the service for unlawful purposes or to harm others;
• copy or reverse engineer the app or the underlying systems, or circumvent their security;
• overload the service, for example with automated requests or misuse of the AI features;
• structurally use the AI features (such as the 12×7 Coach and FoodLab) for purposes that have nothing to do with sport, nutrition, health, wellbeing or your programme, or use them as a general chatbot;
• seek access to the data of others without their permission.

In the event of misuse we take measures in proportion to its seriousness. We may temporarily restrict your access to the AI features (quarantine) and, in the event of repeated or serious misuse, suspend or fully terminate your account (see "Termination"). Where reasonable, we warn you first.

11AI features: what you can expect from them

The AI features (coach, estimates, feedback, recipes) generate their answers automatically based on your input. Those answers may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for your situation.

Use your common sense: always check important information (such as allergens in recipes) yourself, and never regard the suggestions as medical advice (see "No medical advice"). Which data the AI processes is explained in the privacy policy.

The AI features are there for your programme: sport, nutrition, health and wellbeing. If you structurally use them for something entirely different, that counts as misuse (see "Permitted use") and we may restrict or terminate your access to the AI features or your account.

12Friends and shared data

You can add friends to follow each other’s progress and to share weekly menus. If you accept a friend request, nothing is shared yet by default: you then choose yourself, per friend, which parts (progress, roster, diary, recipes) that person may see, as described in the privacy policy. You can change those choices and end the friendship yourself in the app at any time.

13Your content and our rights

What you enter yourself (notes, reviews, photos, chats) remains yours. You only grant us the right to process that content to the extent necessary to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.

The app, the name 12×7, the design, the texts and the underlying technology are and remain the property of ALC Dynamics or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable right of use for the duration of your account.

14Liability

We build 12×7 with care, but we provide the service "as is". We do not guarantee that the app works without interruption or error, nor that you achieve a particular result (such as weight loss).

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage or for damage resulting from decisions you make based on the app or the AI suggestions. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the damage.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

15Termination

You can stop at any time: delete the app, cancel infinity mode if you have it, and if you wish request deletion of your account and data as described in the privacy policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, with a prior warning where reasonable. On termination we process your data in accordance with the privacy policy; amounts already paid are only refunded in the cases described under "Refunds".

16Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example for new features or changed legislation. We announce important changes in advance in the app or by email. If you do not agree with a change, you can stop using the service; if you use the service after the effective date, the new terms apply. The date at the top always shows the latest version.

17Applicable law and competent court

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes are submitted to the competent courts of the judicial district of East Flanders.

If you live in another country as a consumer, you always keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your own country of residence.
